Saturated ruby-red. Sauvage, complex aromas of black cherry, blackberry, leather, fresh blood, iron, roasted meat and licorice, plus a floral nuance. Dense, concentrated and backward; not the least bit sweet but the ripe black fruit flavors offer sneaky intensity and persistence. Finishes very dry and uncompromising, with firm but fine tannins.
