Score 85/100 · Drink 1992-1996, Robert Parker, Feb 1992
While some of my favorite Chilean wines appear to have slipped in quality, this is a fine example. The 1987 Cabernet Sauvignon displays surprising guts, as well as an almost rustic quality, but there is no doubting its good, cedary, weedy, tobacco-tinged Cabernet fruitiness. Medium-bodied and fleshy, this attractive Cabernet should be drunk over the next 3-4 years.
