Nuts and toasted bread on the somewhat heavy nose. Fat and full in the mouth, with flavors of pear, apple and spices. This strikes me as very low in acidity (in fact, it's just 3.4 g/l, even with a bit of malic remaining). Got better with some aeration, but I find this too oxidative in character. The alcohol here is 14%, according to Lardiere.
