The Corton displays a medium-to-dark ruby color, cassis and blackberry aromas as well as a thick, chewy, ripe, and medium-to-full-bodied personality. Sweet cherries, minerals, stones, and toasty oak flavors are ensconced in this wine's foursquare and tannic structure. Anticipated maturity: 2002-2007. About the producer
Based in Pernand-Vergelesses, the Rapet family has been involved in wine since at least the 18th century. The property owns 20 hectares of vines around and on the hill of Corton. Vincent and Sylvette are at the helm today, with their son Robin now working alongside them.
