Tasting notes
A high-toned, expressive and highly spiced nose that carries a hint of sandalwood over to the delicious, mouth coating and serious medium plus weight flavors that possess superb detail and ample underlying minerality on the driving, palate staining and impeccably well-balanced finish. This is a truly stunning effort that has arrived at a point where, with 30 minutes of aeration, it could be enjoyed now but I emphasize that there is sufficient structure remaining that it will last for another 30 years, perhaps longer as there is an underlying reserve of material and vivacity that will ensure an exceptionally long life. In a word, brilliant.
