Score 89/100 · Drink 2006-2012, Pierre Rovani, Jun 2004
The 2002 Chambolle-Musigny reveals a nose of soy sauce and black cherries. Light to medium-bodied, it coats the palate with concentrated waves of black fruits, roasting spices, and ripe tannin. It should be consumed between 2006 and 2012. Importers: A Peter Vezan Selection, Paris fax #011-33-1-42-55-42-93, and also represented by Russell Herman, Berkeley Heights, NJ; tel. (908) 771-9082

(from vines averaging 50 years of age) Full medium ruby. Vibrant, slightly medicinal aromas of black fruits and licorice. Supple, fat and quite rich, with peppery and herbal nuances. Today I don't find the floral lift of the best examples of Chambolle but this is attractively pliant and the tannins are fine.
