Score 90/100 · Drink 2012-2021, Jay S Miller, Wine Advocate, Jun 2009
The 2006 Predicador was aged for 19 months in seasoned oak. Dark ruby-colored, the nose has a slightly roasted character with aromas of cedar, mineral, scorched earth, violets, and blackberry. Round, ripe, and smooth- textured, it has enough underlying structure to evolve for 2-3 years. Nicely balanced and lengthy, it will drink well from 2012 to 2021. No Contador was produced in the challenging 2006 vintage and was instead blended into the Cueva cuvee. All of the Benjamin Romeo wines are 100% Tempranillo.
