Tasting notes
A simple, straightforward, but ultimately pleasant wine for uncritical drinking, this moated fortified castle in the heart of the Medoc has turned out a wine for early consumption – over the next 3-4 years.

Dark, bright crimson. Rather simple but appetising black fruit aromas – good ripeness. Glossy, well managed tannins. Very slightly formulaic but it’s a good formula! Still embryonic. Slightly dry tannins on the finish. A bit stodgy but competent. Shouldn’t disappoint but it needs time. (JR)
