Tasting notes
This property was acquired by Madame de Lenquesaing, and beginning in 1997, the wine is being vinified by the team from Pichon-Lalande. The wine is a blend of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon and 40% Merlot. The 1996 was not vinified, but was bottled by the staff of Pichon-Lalande. It possesses a medium ruby color, plum, black currant, and dried herb scents and flavors, with dry tannin in the finish. Nevertheless, this is a well-made, delicate Bordeaux that should drink well for 5-6 years.
