Tasting notes
Fairly pale ruby with a pale rim. Rather haunting aroma. Hint of brett? Quite a bit of tannin and acid, a bit uncomfortably balanced. We have only nine notes on 1980 bordeaux in the database! (JR)

Ducru can often be counted on in off vintages, but the 1980 lacks charm and fruit, has good structure, but finishes short and is a bit harsh. Anticipated maturity: Now. Last tasted, 4/91.
