Tasting notes
The Boroli family is relatively new to the world of wine, but has made important strides in a brief period of time. Achille Boroli has considerable passion, drive and attention for detail; all qualities that will serve him well as he continues to ratchet up quality. The estate's 2006 Barolo is a delicate, ethereal wine best suited to drinking over the next few years. Crushed flowers, anise and licorice add layers of complexity and nuance to the bright red fruit. This gracious, entry-level Barolo is a terrific effort from Boroli.
