Score 88/100 · Drink 2015-2017, Lisa Perrotti-Brown MW, Wine Advocate, Feb 2015
Pale ruby colored, the 2011 Hillcrest Road Pinot Noir is a little closed, offering faint earth, mossy bark and cranberries notes. Light-bodied, refreshing and elegant in the mouth, the whole-bunch contribution stands out a bit more on this wine, while the fruit lacks the expressiveness of other vintages. It goes medium-long in the finish.

TA 6.5 g/l, pH 3.4. Notably pale red. Lightweight with headily floral aromas (lilies?). A bit chunky and very dry. Pretty uncompromising at this stage but it may well evolve into something special. (JR)
