Tasting notes
Bright deep red. Knockout perfume of sexy brown spices and rose petal. Sappy but youthfully imploded, with the powerful brown spice character carrying through on the palate. Boasts uncanny sweetness and purity, not to mention inner-mouth lift and saline complexity, but this wine will require several years of cellaring. Most impressive today on the building, palate-staining pepper-and-spice finish.

Very rich opulent super-fruity nose. Lots of integrity and dazzle on the palate though quite dry on the end. Exciting tension. (JR)
About the producer

Nicolas Potel is one of Burgundy’s most talented and connected winemakers. He created Maison Roche de Bellene, the négoce arm of Domaine de Bellene, in 2008, using his extensive network in the region to source top-quality fruit for an "haute couture" négociant operation.
