Medium red. High-toned nose offers woodsy, woody aromas of small red fruits. Fleshy and suave, with harmonious acidity giving a dry edge to the rather sweet flavors. A supple, seamless wine in a rather traditional style. Finishes with fine tannins.

Mid crimson. Relatively light but correct nose on the mulch to compost axis. Jewelly fruit with lots of acidity and fine tannin. Clean and refreshing though still quite dry on the finish. Definitely leaner than their 1999. Good balance. (JR)
