The 2012 Nuits Saint Georges Blanc La Perrière, which is pure Pinot Blanc, offers an inviting bouquet with scents of dried honey, pear beeswax and a touch of almond and smoke. The palate is medium-bodied with a slightly waxy texture, veins of white chocolate coming through with a precise, lightly spiced finish. This is just gained a little oomph since I last tasted it.

A subtle touch of wood frames notes of pear, apple and floral scents. There is both fine concentration and solid power to the medium-bodied flavors that possess good volume and an attractively textured mouth feel, all wrapped in a delicious and lingering finish.
