A deep ruby/purple color is followed by notes of crushed rocks, black currants, cherries, and spicy oak. The wine possesses excellent texture, medium body, and a beautiful, 20-second finish. Enjoy it over the next 5-6 years.

Hint of cured meat on the nose. Full-on ripeness and thickness – a wallow in what 2005 delivered rather than Clément-Pichon’s more artful response to it. Very dry finish. Solid. Tannins perhaps just very slightly too chunky for perfection but it does showcase the great raw ingredients of 2005. Find this wine From 13.85 euros (JR)
