There is a bit more wood visible on the slightly riper and very Meursault nose of roasted nuts, ripe peach and soft pear aromas. There is excellent volume to the mouth coating and complex medium-bodied flavors that deliver more size and weight if perhaps not quite the vibrancy on the otherwise impressively long finish. This is quite textured indeed there a vaguely tannic quality to the finale. Tasted: Jun 15, 2014. Drink: 2017+

More obviously oaky than the Clos des Mouches just tasted. This is what white burgundy is all about for me: crisply fresh, creamy texture and a mealy, savoury citrus depth. Very long and both satisfying and refreshing. Deep and long. December 2013. www.jancisrobinson.com Drink 2016-2026.
