(malo recently finished) Pungent aromas of apple, minerals and baking spices. Penetrating, minerally and backward; conveys a much drier, more austere impression than the Criots, Bienvenue or Batard. In comparison, this tightly wound, extremely unevolved wine comes across as considerably more rigid, and more dominated by its mineral component.
About the producer
Based in Meursault and farming some of the finest vineyards in the Côte de Beaune, Henri Boillot is a leading address in Burgundy. He crafts fine Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, but the estate is best known for its flagship monopole vineyard, Puligny-Montrachet Premier Cru Clos de la Mouchère.
