Score 90/100 · Drink 2025-2032, Neal Martin, Dec 2025

The 1995 d'Angludet has an agreeable bouquet that opens nicely in the glass, with blackberry, cedar, iris and melted tar. Lovely, maybe a little Bandol-like with aeration, then increasingly floral as Margaux should be. The palate is medium-bodied with firm tannins, well-balanced, not in the same league as the two excellent Right Bank 1995s poured in the same flight yet charming, with hints of cassis and black pepper emerging on the finish. Tasted at the 1995 Bordeaux off-line at Piccolino in London.

Score 88/100 · Drink 1998-2010, Robert Parker, Feb 1998

The 1995 is a silky, supple, charming, forthcoming wine that is well above its cru bourgeois classification. The color is a healthy saturated deep ruby/purple, and the wine offers up gobs of jammy black fruits intermixed with subtle herbs, spice, and toast. In the mouth, the wine displays excellent richness, a layered, medium-bodied personality, well-disguised tannin and acidity, and a hedonistic mouthfeel. Anticipated maturity: Now-2010. A sleeper of the vintage.
