Tasting notes
Sweeter fruit, ripe and more youthful than the '91. Coffee again but also dark choc/cocoa. Pronounced and tightly woven fruit character – more red than black with distinctive sweet spice character on the lengthy finish. Needs a while yet before opening to its full potential. (RH)

Bright, dark ruby. Exotic aromas of cassis, black raspberry, cappuccino, cinnamon and mace hint at a liqueur-like sweetness. Very rich and sweet on the palate; plush of texture and rather soft, but extremely concentrated. Really superb inner-mouth flavors. With powerful buffering extract and thick, compelling fruit, this port thoroughly hides its alcohol. The tannins coat the teeth. Delicious.
