A strong effort from Carbonnieux, this seductive, forward 2001 builds incrementally in the mouth, revealing a Burgundy-like character with its forest floor, sweet cherry/plum, and smoke characteristics. Soft and easy-going, it offers considerable pleasure as well as complexity. Drink it over the next decade.

Full, catty Sauvignon Blanc. Quite creamy. Some peachiness of fruit but overall quite hard work. (JR)

Pleasant and fruity, with cherry and berry character, light to medium body and a fresh finish. Drink now. 25,000 cases made.-James Suckling, Wine Spectator 2004
