Good ruby-red. Pure, restrained aromas of licorice and violet. Juicy and on the lean side but with noteworthy precision to the savory, slightly inky dark fruit flavors. Still a bit tight on the end but quite pure, with a subtle minerality. Should be a worthy successor to the very good 2005 made here.
Sweet Christmas-cake spice. Charry flavours on the palate and surprisingly light in the middle. Fresh but not much stuffing. (JH)
