Tasting notes
Rustic brambled blackberry, tobacco and tomato leaf, soft on the finish, showcasing less precision than the older vintages of Giscours in this vertical, and it is disappointing compared to many 1990s from Left Bank classifieds. There was higher Merlot in the blend at this point after replanting, which may have had an impact. Tari family owners.

This insipid, placid wine reveals some decent aromatics, but it falls apart in the mouth with no structure, depth, or intensity. Release price: ($225.00/case)
Dark ruby color. Aromas of blackberry, minerals and licorice. Full-bodied, with firm tannins and a lovely currant character. Medium finish. Outstanding Giscours. Needs some time.--1990 Bordeaux retrospective. Best after 2005. 33,000 cases made. -James Suckling, Wine Spectator 2000
