Tasting notes
Good colour variation in the glass suggesting considerable evolution. Relatively subtle nose. Lots of fruit impact. Quite chewy with some particularly grainy tannins well in evidence. (JR)

Rarely tasted since bottling, this wine has exhibited a soft, fruity personality, with pleasant but undistinguished levels of fruit concentration. Drink this round, supple, fully mature wine over the next 4-5 years. Tasted 2 times since bottling with consistent notes.
Rich and thick, with lots of flavor. Dark ruby-garnet in color, with an amber edge. Very ripe berry and chocolate aromas. Full-bodied and very chewy, with a lot of tannin and a long, tobacco, berry aftertaste.--1982 Bordeaux horizontal. Drink now. James Suckling,Wine Spectator 1998
