The 2011 Château de Myrat is deeper in colour than its peers. It has an intense bouquet with wild honey, tangerine and quince aromas, nice poised and pure. The palate is well balanced with good concentration, real weight and presence here with a very satisfying, botrytised finish that lingers in the mouth. Excellent. Tasted blind at the annual 10-Year-On tasting.

Tasted blind. Pale orange colour. Botrytis notes on the nose. Creamy texture and really rather luxurious. Lots of potential and not too sweet. You could drink this with savoury foods. (JR)
Tasted at the de Myrat vertical at the property. The 2011 Château de Myrat needed a little coaxing on the nose, but eventually reveals attractive honey, barley sugar and quince aromas with a subtle marine influence underneath. The palate is medium-bodied with orange peel, marmalade, peach and a touch of orange rind. There is harmony here, not enormous weight, but the finish is very cohesive and offers impressive length. Enjoy this over the next couple of decades - a little gem that augurs well for the future. Tasted April 2016.
