Score 89/100 · Drink 2019-2032, Neal Martin, Mar 2019
The 2009 de Myrat has a generous bouquet with clear honey, brioche, quince and light petrolly aromas, a little Barsac-like in style. The palate is well balanced with a viscous opening, smooth and harmonious with a precise finish that frankly deserves better aromatics. Not bad, though it can show better. Tasted blind at Farr Vintners’ 2009 Bordeaux tasting.

The 2009 de Myrat is pale to medium gold and has an evolving, nutty nose of baked apricots, dried pineapple, mango and honey with spices nuances. The palate is full, rich, spicy, nutty and maturing, finishing long and oily.

Tasted blind. Easy and fresh but not that complex. Quite chewy. (JR)
