Very sweet and rich in good balance. Full, sweet, opulent nose. A hint of cocoa on the palate with some greenness. Rather uncomfortable to taste at the moment. That greenness on the finish troubles me a bit. Falls off a bit suddenly. (JR)

Saturated ruby. Slightly reduced nose is showing its chocolatey oak side today. Then dense, sappy and very ripe but at the same time dry and classic, with distinctly imploded black fruit flavors dominating. This really saturates the palate on the back end, which features dusty, spreading tannins and an iodiney nuance that adds grip. All the elements are here for a slow-aging bottle.
