Good full red. Redcurrant, black cherry, licorice, iron and graphite on the nose, complicated by mocha and game. Silky-sweet and intense, with harmonious ripe acidity giving shape to the middle palate. Finishes long, but with more powerful and less elegant tannins than the Champeaux. This will need a good seven or eight years of cellaring. Quite fresh for the vintage, as this parcel clearly benefited from the cooling influence of the combe

Good deep red. Enticing aromas of raspberry, mocha and game. Sweet, lush and stuffed with flavor, and yet this also boasts excellent definition and cut. The chewy dark fruit and game flavors convey a strong impression of terroir Finishes pure and long, with dusty tannins and excellent grip for the vintage. But the '07 Champeaux seems even riper.
Sweet fruit and very flattering with an undertow of something medicinal. Slightly dry on the finish. (JR)

This estate, today with Arnaud Mortet at the helm, makes some of Gevrey-Chambertin’s finest wines. Working with 16 hectares, as well as a few négociant parcels, this property makes perfumed and chiselled Pinot Noir.
