Deep red. Sauvage nose offers smoked meat and minerals. Shows a distinct animal quality on the palate but also boasts lovely juicy grip and a fine-grained texture to the black fruit flavors. Less lush than the Champeaux but this is extremely young today. Finishes with terrific freshness and length. At this point in our tasting, Dugat compared these premier crus to his 2002s.
