Medium red. Raspberry and smoked meat on the rather carnal nose. Lush, full and sweet, with lovely inner-mouth perfume to the seamless red fruit flavors. Less expressive than it was in barrel in late 2010 but the wine's suave tannins and noteworthy length and force suggest it will round into form with a few years in the cellar.

Medium bright red. Ripe, expressive nose combines black cherry, black raspberry, peony, rose petal and smoked ham. A fat, rich, voluminous wine that displays the sensual side of Corton. Very harmonious already, showing a restrained sweetness. Perhaps less sharply delineated and complex today than the last couple of samples but larger-scaled and more obviously 2009-typical.
