Pale, light but fresh and vital. Super clean and lively though maybe a bit too light to serve with anything substantial. Warm, complex nose but bone dry on the end. Racy. Delicate. Classic. (JR)

Somewhat understated in personality, the 1981 Branaire is quite successful, but forward, precociously supple, and fruity. The bouquet is already showing expansive, complex, chocolatey, cedary components. Anticipated maturity: Now. Last tasted, 11/84.
