(bottled just before the 2009 harvest) Menthol and a rocky element on the nose. Sweet, broad and strong, with honey and soil tones dominating. Comes across as a bit dry and slightly harsh on the lingering finish. Not a fruity style.

Interesting, tense, nervy on the nose. Lovely freshness but core of fruit, too. Very creditable even if not absolutely thrilling. Slightly fast fade. (JR)

(from vines planted in 1989) Subdued nose hints at resiny apple. Rich and ripe but in an awkward stage, in need of sulfur dioxide following the end of the malo. Shows less cut, minerality and citric lift than Bruno Colin's example. Finishes with a lightly dusty phenolic quality.
