Bright medium red. Ineffable aromas of perfumed red fruits, dried flowers and truffley underbrush, complicated by a saline quality. Supple and seamless on the palate, showing a restrained sweetness to its flavors of red berries, smoke and earth. Finishes with dusty tannins and a lingering oakiness. Doesn't show quite the exhilarating floral lift of the Chaignots but possesses strong material.

Obvious oak, a nice black-pepper character. Light-ish weight, good balance and refreshment factor. Delicate. (RH)

Bright dark red. Captivating precision to the aromas of flowers, crushed stone, chocolate and cardamom. Sweet, silky and smooth but with excellent energy to the dense berry and spice flavors. Still a bit youthfully tight but spreads out impressively on the long, perfumed finish. This weightless wine leaves the salivary glands quivering.

An overtly spicy nose of cool and earthy aromas of red currant and elegant floral notes. There is good delineation to the supple and vibrant medium weight flavors that possess a taut muscularity on the lightly mineral-inflected finish. This harmonious effort delivers fine length in a package that should amply reward mid to longer-term cellaring. Tasted: Jan 15, 2014. Drink: 2022+
