1954 Sercial

The 1954 Sercial has a dainty bouquet of dried honey, adhesive glue, over-ripe Satsuma and a hint of burnt match. The palate is crisp on the entry with rapier-like acidity that cuts through the pure, clean spicy, honeyed fruit without a care in the world. It is very elegant and refined, a great Sercial that gives great pleasure. In London, I tasted three bottles from the Madeira Wine Company that were bottled under the Cossart Gordon name.
