Tasting notes
Herbal scents in addition to dusty, earthy notes and dry tannins are present in this wine, which displays moderately intense cherry and currant fruit with lots of spice and damp forest notes. It doesn’t look like it’s going to go anywhere, so drink it up.

Mid bright crimson. Fresh quite simple redcurrant flavours on the nose. Relatively lightweight but very fresh and balanced and juicy. Like a fruit exploding in the mouth. Neat but quite pronounced acidity. (JR)
Black licorice and raspberry aromas follow through to a full-bodied palate, with medium chewy tannins and a medium finish. A bit tight, but with good berry and mineral character. James Suckling, Wine Spectator 2009
