2010 Le Dix de Los Vascos

(85% cabernet sauvignon, 10% carmenere and 5% syrah): Inky ruby. Pungent smoke- and spice-accented aromas of cherry compote, redcurrant and cured tobacco, with suave vanilla and clove nuances gaining strength with air. Juicy and precise, offering intense red berry and bitter cherry flavors that take on sweetness with air. Dusty tannins come on late and add shape to the very long, sweet, incisive finish. This wine has the balance to age.
