Rather luscious colour. Sweet and malty on the nose then very rigid on the palate with underripe phenolic character. Can't see this ever becoming a beautifully balanced whole. Bretty? (JR)

Fashioned from low yields of 26 hectoliters per hectare, the light-styled 2002 exhibits notes of sweet cedar-infused black cherry fruit as well as toasty oak. Round and delicious, it is meant for near-term consumption, but should evolve for another 5-6 years.
