Tasting notes
Mesnil, Oger, Cramant, Avize. Current vintage. The Delamotte Collection releases started five years ago. Same wine as was released earlier but kept on lees 15 years. Disgorged 2017. Dosage 5 g/l because such a rich vintage. Bigger bubbles again. Tight nose. Delicate and just a little bitter note on the end. Very fine with juicy Seville orange notes. Quite concentrated after it opened out in the (JR) glass.

Complex and round on the nose and very dry on the palate. Long and bone dry. (JR)
Disgorged October 2011. Dosage 7 g/l. Apple sauce fruit. More saline than toasty. Very savoury and restrained. Puckered. Perhaps a little fruitless? Great density and power, but very severe – is this too young, even at ten years old? (RH)
Cream cheese on the nose, then toast on the palate. Light bodied, ephemeral, perhaps missing a bit of vim, but a classy number nonetheless. (RH)
