Amazingly backward and youthful-looking for a seven year-old Australian red (although 1995 was a particularly good vintage here). Very deep and pungent. Big and rich yet still with lots of tannin. (JR)

Saturated ruby-red. Complex, warm aromas of black- and redcurrant, woodsmoke, tobacco, cedar and loam. Ripe, expansive and easygoing; the woodsmoke and cedar notes repeat in the mouth. Broad and pliant; this is balanced to last in bottle yet could use a bit more verve. Finishes with lush tannins and notes of tobacco, earth and redcurrant.
