Score 90/100 · Drink 2004-2014, Robert Parker, Apr 2003
Unquestionably a sleeper of the vintage, this dense ruby/purple-colored effort reveals medium body, moderate tannin, good structure, and outstanding purity as well as concentration. Redolent with flavors of plum, cherry, and raspberry, with the telltale licorice note, this wine is not as fruit-forward as many of the estate's efforts, yet readers will not have to wait long for the pleasure to begin. Anticipated maturity: 2004-2014.
