Exhibits a caressing texture of silky tannins, but it's slightly lacking in fruit concentration. Medium-bodied, with a light midpalate. Drink or hold. 7,250 cases made. James Suckling, Wine Spectator 1997.

Moderately saturated medium color. Black cherry, currants and minerals on the nose. Soft and easy in the mouth, with an attractive sweetness. Very forward style, but no shortage of St. Estèphe character. Just what a second wine should be.
