Bright red-ruby. Musky strawberry and smoke aromas displayed mounting ripeness with aeration, with notes of meat and underbrush emerging. Creamy-sweet, lush and spicy, but with powerful extract and a firm edge of acidity providing energy and thrust. Sexy, sappy wine with a very long, tactile, slightly saline finish.

Deep red. Knockout nose seems to combine the traits of Laurent's best 2004s: tangy raspberry, minerals, underbrush, game and sexy oak. Sweet, dense and powerful but light on its feet, even a bit imploded today under the pressure of its strong minerality. But opens out spectacularly on the back end, finishing with uncompromising minerally dryness and great length and verve.
