Tasting notes
Dark shades of fruit, smoke, tobacco, menthol, licorice and game emerge from the 2012 Plince. Here the style is decidedly virile, with intense fruit and firm tannins that need more time to fully meld together. This is an especially backward, somewhat rustic Pomerol with good depth and solid overall balance.

A straightforward, attractive, pleasant Pomerol, with adequate fruit and a dark ruby/plum color, this 2012 does not offer much complexity, but it is mouthfilling and satisfying. Drink it over the next 10-12 years.
Gentle pure Merlot fruit with a touch of vanilla at first. Again, quite red-fruited. Soft but deepish tannins though the fruit is relatively light in the middle. Moderate length and disappears a bit on the finish. (JH)
