A big, chunky, somewhat corpulent wine with delicious black currant and black cherry fruit intermixed with some damp earth, truffle and forest floor, this 2009 is round, medium to full-bodied, dark plum/purple, and best drunk over the next 10-12 years.

Dark glowing cherry red. Rich, plump and a little oaky at this stage. But quite delicate fruit on the palate. Very polished with some attractive minerality. Refreshing. (JR)
