Tasting notes
A Cabernet Sauvignon-dominated wine with about 70% Cabernet Sauvignon and 30 % Merlot, the 2010 Bournac has a dense purple color and a sweet nose of cedar wood, loamy soil scents and subtle herbs infused into an attractive black currant and plum-like fruit spectrum. Medium-bodied with relatively sweet tannins and good depth, this wine should drink nicely for 5-6 years. A member of the Alliance des Cru Bourgeois du Medoc.

Very tight and difficult austerity. (YS)
Owned by the nephew of the owner of La Chandellière. Spicy, almost tarry nose with great vitality. Very cool on the palate. Marked acidity and a little bit of greenness (confirmed on a second tasting). Silky texture in the middle with lots of chew on the finish. Fine but not rich. (JR)
