Tasting notes
A brilliant dark purple color and a fine mocha, richly fruity, spicy nose make for a positive first impression. The wine exhibits impressive ripeness, medium body, excellent overall balance, and 12-15 years of drinkability. Although not a blockbuster, it is a well-made, well-balanced, elegant style of Pomerol with low acidity and plenty of ripe fruit. Anticipated maturity: 1999-2010.

Appealing now, showing crisp, light-bodied texture and some cherry, olive, dried herb and blackberry notes. Somewhat diluted. A barrel sample tasted earlier was much better. Disappointing for this estate. James Suckling,Wine Spectator 1996
