Tasting notes
Pale to medium gold in color, the 1998 Filhot is a little reticent on the nose but sports some exciting peach preserves and candied orange peel notes with hints of beeswax and fungi. The palate offers beautiful balance and quite a lot of depth, with a racy acid line giving a refreshing lift to the finish.

Pale but bright yellow-gold color. Aromas of insect repellent and licorice; little trace of fruit or positive botrytis character. Has intensity but comes across as hard and lean, with little sign of fruit flavors or flesh. Finishes with a distinctly bitter edge.
