Score 16.5/20 · Drink 2012-2017, Jancis Robinson MW, Apr 2008
Second wine of Église-Clinet. Dark crimson. Really toasty and lively and with lots of fruit on the nose. Really exciting. Real line right through the palate. Most impressive. No holes. No excess of acid or tannin. A little austere and short on the finish lets it down but otherwise it’s pretty impressive for this vintage. A twin of the Blason de l’Évangile. (JR)

About the producer

l'Eglise Clinet
Ch. l'Eglise-Clinet is one of the most unassuming wine estates in Bordeaux. You'd probably drive past it if you didn't have prior knowledge of its vinous output. There's no ostentatious gateway nor sweeping gravel drive.
