Score 16/20 · Drink 2011-2016, Jancis Robinson MW, Apr 2005
Very deep. dark brownish crimson. Very savoury almost salty nose. A bit suppressed. Well balanced but not opulent or flashy. Fine sandy tannins on the finish. Low key, a little severe – dry finish but very well mannered. Classic certainly. Second wine of Eglise Clinet. (JR)

About the producer

l'Eglise Clinet
Ch. l'Eglise-Clinet is one of the most unassuming wine estates in Bordeaux. You'd probably drive past it if you didn't have prior knowledge of its vinous output. There's no ostentatious gateway nor sweeping gravel drive.
