Score 16/20 · Drink 2006-2010, Jancis Robinson MW, Apr 2005
A good example of a second wine which in 2003 has been used as a bit of a, shall we call it receptacle?, for less fine and structured fruit. Quite excessively ripe fruit to my nose with a lack of substance in the middle. Even a bit sickly with dry tannins on the end. If it is cheap enough it may be interesting, and there may be enthusiasts for its decadently animal fruit. (JR)

About the producer

l'Eglise Clinet
Ch. l'Eglise-Clinet is one of the most unassuming wine estates in Bordeaux. You'd probably drive past it if you didn't have prior knowledge of its vinous output. There's no ostentatious gateway nor sweeping gravel drive.
